Checkers, or draughts, is a game for two players. It can be played on a regular 8x8 chess board. Black starts. Each player starts with 8 Men which can move only one tile forward diagonally or jump over an enemy piece. When a Man reaches the back line of his enemy, he is promoted to a King which can move many pieces diagonally and in both ways. The player who has lost every piece loses the game.
This project was created by Adrián Szegedi, a student of Informatics at the Technical University of Košice, as an assignment for a subject about Component based programming, mainly in Java.
